I figured we’d start off the New Year with some technique to get your fingers moving. I’m always being asked how to get more limber fingers at the piano, so what better way to start than with this exercise!

It’s been a while since I sat down and chatted with you about piano player problems and challenges that adult learners in particular tend to face. Today I want to talk about the very common problem of practicing without feeling like you’re making any progress at all.

The idea with this workshop is to dive deep into pop music, even if you've never "played by ear" before. I'll walk you through basics, and we'll look through three diverse contemporary songs I enjoy, and how you might interpret them on the piano.

Come gather 'round and gaze upon my least dusty tomes as I tell you of their significance.

Today I’d like to tell you about a brand-new course I’ve created, called “Design Your Own Piano Path”. It’s been in development for a year (and incubating years before that), and I’m so pleased to finally be able to share it with you.
