This page is a tribute to the awesome progress my students have made over the last several years in my Complete Piano Path classes. I’ve been so fortunate to bear witness to their journeys, and it has been great seeing their musical growth. I wanted to share some of their progress videos to celebrate their hard work, but also to inspire you – it’s amazing how much progress they’ve made.

“Taking Allysia’s piano courses throughout the years has been a great experience in many ways. Years ago, I tried to learn guitar on my own, but I did not know how to practice, so I stopped without getting too far on the instrument.
However, as I wanted to play an instrument to accompany me in my singing, in 2022, I decided to take piano, this time with a tutor, and finding Allysia’s courses have been the perfect guide to tackle various aspects of my musicality on the piano. Her classes provide the methodology I needed to make my practice feasible and consistent. I needed practice tools and feedback, and she always has diligently provided them. She delicately tailors the content of the classes, so the students know how and what to practice to get results.
As her feedback sessions are held weekly, the students have to practice every day to provide a recording, but she also provides weekly practice checklists that help you go through the practice process each day. The checklist and the weekly feedback sessions have been great drivers for me to practice every day. Before her classes, I did not know that I could be that consistent and disciplined, but since I take them, I now practice piano for more than 1 hour daily and have been recording videos for feedback for the last 2 years and a half almost without interruptions.
I am happy with the pieces that I can play now and am excited for the pieces that I will be able to play in some more time! I cannot recommend her classes enough! Thank you so much, Allysia!”

“I took some piano lessons when I was a kid and music has always played a big role in my life. In my late 40s I decided I really wanted to pick up the piano again. I started reacquainting myself by going through old lessons books (yes I had kept them all 
) and then realized that I needed some structure and accountability. I needed a teacher.
In my hunt I found no one in my area that taught adults in the way I was interested in. I didn’t just want to play popular songs. I wanted to learn and grow as a pianist. I also wasn’t interested in being the only adult in a piano community of children.
I came across Allysia and PianoTv on YouTube and I haven’t looked back. I love the structure of the lessons and that there is a well rounded and thorough lesson plan. I really enjoy that we have a little group that we travel together on this journey with. We are from all over the world and I enjoy listening to their work and following their growth. So many talented folks.
I have improved so much and my confidence is building. I can’t wait to land myself at the keyboard each day. I am really looking forward to Level 3 and beyond.”

“I have always had an interest in music and piano, but my journey started on a whim after purchasing a digital piano for my son. He has since moved onto other interests, but I found it to be a fun and challenging endeavor. After spending a few months exploring on my own, I started with Allysia’s CPP-B class in October 2021.
Like many adult learners, I set out trying pieces well beyond the beginner level. But I quickly reined in my expectations and embraced the approach of working through graded repertoire. As I’ve progressed (mostly thanks to persistence rather than skill), my goals have shifted from being able to eventually play big, impressive pieces to enjoying whatever it is I’m currently working on. There are so many interesting pieces and styles at the beginner and intermediate levels.
Piano has become part of my routine – I spend 45 minutes every morning practicing. It’s a great way to start the day and the structure that the CPP classes bring make it all that more enjoyable.”

“I’ve always wanted to learn to play the piano. As I don’t have much time for my hobby apart from work, I was looking for an easy way. I tried apps and tutorials on YouTube. Unfortunately, I always missed the common thread. Until I got to know Allysia’s CPP. As I already had the basic knowledge, I started with the CPP-B course.
The structured approach and regular feedback helped me to develop my skills further. The weekly lessons kept me accountable. The lessons always provide enough motivation to learn something new without overwhelming me. Over time, I realized that I could also play more difficult pieces. I am happy to have found this path and look forward to my further development.”

“I know I wouldn’t have progressed this much on my own. Your classes are the best mix of flexible and being able to do things on my own time balanced with a great rehearsal routine, well timed schedule, and positive peer pressure from my cohort. I learn so much from you and from my fellow students.
I know I wouldn’t have progressed this much on my own. Sometimes I feel like I’m still a beginner, but then I try something that completely surprises me that I’m able to play it. And even when I feel like I’ve struggled with something, I’m finding I can apply what I’ve learned much more effortlessly than I expected. I was listening to a song recently and thought… I wonder how complicated the chords are. I looked up a lead sheet and they’re not complicated at all. I was able to play all the chords without looking them up, even in a key we haven’t spent any time on yet. And I was able to arrange something of an accompaniment just based on those chords and basic things I’ve learned about waltz. Turns out, I can even play a little and sing at the same time–which is something I never thought I’d be able to do.
Basically, I think it’s really easy to tell yourself piano is too hard, unapproachable, it’s too late to learn, or online lessons probably aren’t very valuable; but I’ve found out those are all very wrong assumptions.”

“When I started CPP, I had no idea how to sit at a piano, let alone play something musical. Piece by piece, trusting the lesson plans, I have watched myself progress through 4 grade levels, and excited for the next. I have enjoyed learning the fundamentals behind the music, and now have tools to analyse, break down tricky passages, and to practice efficiently.
Recording videos of my playing, exposure to a variety of musical styles, and the motivation from the CPP forum, have all helped my progress immensely.”

“Hello from Vietnam! I’ve tried restarting beginner piano classes many times without success, but since joining Allysia’s class, I’m finally making some progress. The structure of her training is great, and I love the songs she picks for us to learn. I also love it when life gets busy and I can’t submit my homework, Allysia doesn’t make me feel too guilty or stressful 
Furthermore, she always finds something great in every submission we make and her feedback has been greatly encouraging. I highly recommend her classes!
PS: my secret dream is to be able to reach to grade 8 (RCM or ABRSM 8) before I reach 90… something; I hope my hands, my brain and memories still help me reach there. Who knows, maybe we could catch up again in Allysia’s CPP-8 then

“One of my primary goals after retiring was to begin my life long dream to learn to play music. Initially I stumbled and failed as a complete beginner to music, trying to learn both guitar and piano on my own with a few online applications and videos.
I realized that achieving my dream would require a great teacher, structured learning, and consistent feedback, and it would have to work with my retirement lifestyle where we constantly travel with family and friends.
I found Complete Piano Path (CPP) through one of the many wonderful online videos by Allysia and PianoTV, and signed up for the very beginner course CPP-A in the Spring of 2021.
Allysia and CPP and all of my colleagues in my classes have continued to inspire me to continue my life long dream. After taking a short break after the first half of CPP-4, I am looking forward to continuing CPP-4 this fall, and then hopefully onto CPP-5.
CPP has been perfect for me and in spite of my constant travels, piano is one of the most important and inspiring parts of my daily life.”

“I have completely enjoyed my three year piano journey with PianoTV and Allysia! I started with grade 1, couldn’t wait to do grade 2 and finished grade 3 with lots of enthusiasm! I am now looking forward with great anticipation for the grade 4 class.
Learning to play piano with Allysia through the Complete Piano Path method provides a structure that is challenging, enlightening and fun! One of the best parts of this learning path is the wonderful, varied, and exciting music Allysia provides to her students in each grade level. I still enjoy playing many of the pieces we learned in the earlier grades because they are interesting pieces that don’t lose their appeal. In addition, the path provides a very steady and consistent teaching approach that builds on theory and techniques introduced in the early grades. Concepts are reintroduced at each level which gives the student a super musical foundation and a deeper understanding of how music works.
These classes have been a complete pleasure for me. Interaction with the other students in the class, people from all over the world, is wonderful. I’m so glad I found Allysia and PianoTV!”
