The Key of C, and C Major Scale

Happy Monday!

In today’s video, we discuss some music theory, and dig into key signatures.  There are a couple technical exercises to accompany this video, both a C scale, as well as a short piece built around a C scale:

Technique: C Scale

Technique: Prelude in C Major

The piece for this week is a composition of my own, since I wanted to explore more dissonant sounds, and creating atmosphere – and music along these lines is difficult to find at a beginner level.

Piece: Cold Blue Sky

Enjoy all the music this week – we’re starting to delve into more complexity, which means more fun!
