Q&A: Finding Level-Appropriate Piano Sheet Music

It’s tough to find music at your level without the help of a teacher, whether you’re a beginner or advanced student.  In today’s video, I talk about some of my methods for finding music for my students, as well as for myself.  Here are some websites I mentioned:

RCM syllabus: https://examinations.rcmusic.ca/publications (scroll down to ‘piano’)
ABRSM syllabus: http://gb.abrsm.org/en/our-exams/piano/
Sheet Music Plus levels: http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/help/level-guidelines

This makes a fantastic starting point.  Best of luck hunting for good music!

Allysia has been teaching piano in Canada for nearly a decade, and has her Grade 10 RCM certificate. She especially enjoys nerding out to music history and theory. When she’s not making videos or teaching, she’s reading, writing, and jamming in a rock band.
